Program Areas:
Aerial Pesticide Application
Air Quality - Providing educational programs and resources that help local livestock industries and government agencies to understand air emission issues. Developing strategies for mitigating aerial pollutant emissions, and use of information technologies to maintain livestock housing environment and improve productivity.
Energy, Biofuels and Biosystems - Provide educational programs and training that help the community understand biomass conversion to energy and bio-fuels technologies. Present educational programs and approaches that help citizens conserve energy.
Geospatial Technologies - Providing access to geospatial data, educational programs, research-based training, and resources for advancing the understanding and practice of site-specific farming and environmental quality.
Irrigation Machinery and Safety - We are dedicated to assist the community in new technologies and machinery systems which enhance the productivity, efficiency, and performance of the field equipment. Our key areas include farm machinery and related soil compaction related cotton harvest systems, safety in production agriculture and ATV safety.
Manure and Mortality Management - Our educational programs and resources strive to help all levels of the Arkansas livestock industries and governmental agencies achieve and maintain sustainable livestock production. While environmental and their associated legal concerns are a focus area, we in keeping with the sustainability concept, also provide information on management practices to address production and profitability concerns.
