The Extension Animal Science Section assists agents, agricultural industry and producers in the following areas:

Extension Animal Science supports county Extension programs by assisting with the development, implementation and evaluation of livestock and forage educational efforts and activities. These activities may include demonstrations, county programs, field days, news articles, newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, publications and computer programs.

We work closely with the Department of Animal Science and agricultural industry leaders to offer the latest in livestock and forage research programs to the people of Arkansas.

Animal Science also works in conjunction with the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service to provide news and data on Arkansas auctions, livestock futures, national livestock information and other commodity information.
